At iansyst, we pride ourselves on supplying our computer systems from reputable and reliable manufacturers such as Apple, Lenovo, Toshiba and Dell with the latest assistive technology software preloaded and configured. Typical packages could include speech recognition, text to speech and mind mapping software, spell-checkers and other peripherals. We also supply a wide range of ergonomic solutions for students.

Training is also available to get the most of the assistive technology supplied.

The Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) funding is paid on top of your other student finance and do not have to be repaid. How much you get depends on your individual needs, not by your household income. You will need to pay the first £200 of your order, which is the minimum cost that any student is likely to incur when buying a computer.
We have a nation-wide team of experienced trainers to ensure our customers obtain the most from their new tools. We provide structured but flexible training, which gives as much hands-on-practice as possible and teaches you how to use the assistive technology on the sorts of tasks that you normally perform. We can also provide you with access to our newly developed e-learning portal to reinforce and support the learning of software packages.

If you have been awarded training, make sure you book these sessions. Training sessions enable you to get the most out of your Assistive Technology: our trainers tailor the sessions to suit your precise needs. Contact us on 01223 436673 or email us on to book your first session.

With a purchase as complex and expensive as a computer system, we can’t just take your order over the phone. Please post or fax us your list of chosen equipment - don’t forget to include your name, address and a contact phone number so we can arrange delivery.

If you have received a personalised quote from us, simply return a copy of the quote (mark any changes clearly on the copy). Don’t forget to include your name, address and a contact phone number so we can arrange delivery. We can accept cheques and banker’s drafts for computer purchases. We cannot normally accept credit card payments for large purchases (however some companies like Barclaycard will issue cheque books for use with your credit card account).

Note that we do not need payment with your order, but we do need to receive the money before we are able to send out the computer.

If you are receiving your computer through a Disabled Student’s Allowance or Access To Work scheme, then we just need a photocopy of the letter or other paperwork confirming you are receiving one of these disability grants.

If you are paying for the equipment yourself, we will need a signed copy of our VAT exemption form for our records.
